Crystal Lake Central High School opened in 1924 as Crystal Lake Community High School and is the oldest high school in District 155. The school serves students from Crystal Lake and Lakewood, and is located approximately 45 miles northwest of Chicago. 

Crystal Lake Central High School consistently ranks among the top high schools nationally and in Illinois, and offers students a comprehensive 9-12 grade education with more than 200 courses to choose from.

In athletics, the Crystal Lake Central Tigers compete in the Fox Valley Conference. The school has captured state titles in girls' volleyball (2007), competitive dance (2013), and wrestling (2016).

Beyond sports, students can explore their interests through a vibrant performing and fine arts program, along with more than 40 clubs and activities available. Students are given unique ways to get involved, connect, and make the most of their high school experience.

Visitor Information

Visitors must have a scheduled appointment, provide a valid state-issued photo identification card, and sign in at the security desk. Please park in a designated visitor spot and enter through the main entrance.

Parking Information

Student Parking Lot at Crystal Lake Central

Due to limited space, only juniors and seniors may park in the student lot. A permit may be purchased for $150.00 for the entire school year. Permits are limited. Semester-only parking stickers will cost $75 per semester. Proceeds from parking sticker sales help the district maintain its parking lots.

Emergency, one-day parking privileges are available for $5.00 per day. Please see the dean’s secretary for details.

Visitor Parking

At the front of each D155 school, designated "visitor parking" signs are available. Please check in at the front office after parking and be prepared to show a valid driver's license.
